The rink sits behind full-height glazing so it is visible from the mall side, and the lounge is treated as a graphic room — blocks of colour, a mural wall and soft furniture — against the cool grey of the ice.

Colour is used as wayfinding: the hire counter, the mural and the seating blocks are the only saturated things in the room.
